If your a Jets fan do not count your chickens before they hatch, at least not with this capitals team playing the way they are. If the jets were gonna go all the way this would be the year, all lines are flowing well, special teams are doing their jobs and the whole province of Manitoba has their back. The only thing that could stand in their way is some 40 year-old man from Moscow.

The star of the league right now is hands down Alexander Ovechkin, this man is 40 years old and ripping up the competition in search of that coveted goal record. The caps are shocking the world right now with how smoothly everything is running, They are holding down the fort that is 2nd place right now just behind the Winnipeg Jets. Yes they have room for improvement on the d line, but that goalie tandem just keeps them chugging. Logan Thompson and Charlie Lindgren are playing outstanding, Thompson averages a .921 sv% and Lindgren averages .902. When Thompson starts they have 24 wins and 2 losses. This in fact is the nastiest capitals squad the league has ever seen. I remember the team in 2018 and how they looked, all i will say is this group right now would blow them out of the water.

If the Jets don’t go for the cup this year my money would be riding on the 24/25 Washington Capitals, Led into battle by their captain Alex Ovechkin.

Last year my cousin and I were deemed adult enough to take on Country Fest, ever since i was young i heard tales of the shenanigan’s at the festival and was at first turned away but when my love for country music bloomed I knew I had to see it for myself.

Country fest 24 had quite the lineup….. for an 60 year old, it featured big names such as Alabama, Clint Black, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I honestly really liked the lineup you could sing along to Dixieland Delight and Fishing in the dark with everyone else in the pit, all was well. However I noticed that the crowds were full of old timers nodding their heads along to the music and the energy was just simply not there. I strongly believe that they could totally revamp the lineup this year and bring Country Fest back to its glory days.

First Artist that i would at least try to get is the king of country. George Strait would be an absolutely electric concert and would take care of the middle aged to older folks. With a lot of the budget blown on one show id headline a newer less known guy as a showcase of his talents, a great option is this guy Zach Top I started listening to recently and he is great. For the 3rd night we have some budget left so i would get a band that knows how to rock the crowd for that Id go with a duo of 2 greats Brooks and Dunn. They have many great songs that would get the people moving.

I strongly believe the issue of attendance and lack of the hardcore country fest attendees would be extremely quickly fixed with George Strait, Zach Top, and Brooks Dunn. I know this would be a festival to remember for all in the audience.

Firstly, I’ve been a jets fan for ever. I’ve seen their deep cup runs and their first round boots but i always find a way to keep them in my heart. maybe its the fact that when i was young going to a jets game was such a big deal as they just got brought back from Atlanta. my dad took me to my first jets game when i was 5 funny enough it was against the former Jets relocation the Phoenix Coyotes. from my recollection the Jets won the game and i was ecstatic about the pizza slice the size of my head.

In recent years the Jets have been rather lack luster with their playoff longevity, However i have a feeling this year will be different. That’s not based on nothing either the Winnipeg Jets are the top of the league with a 6 game heater. They are the only team in the league left undefeated and I’ve got to say the Jets are looking mean. Their top 9 are possibly that of the deepest 9 in the league for the last decade.

The Jets deserve the hype that any other team on a 6 game heater would get and i think that’s very unfair. Canadian teams never see the same hype or press coverage as American teams and the bottom of the barrel is the Jets. I think that’s part of the drive pushing them every game and keeping this streak burning strong.

My earliest memory of old country was me at about 8 blasting “Amarillo By Morning” on the radio of my uncles pontoon boat. It was truly eye opening…… about 5 years later, because I absolutely hated all country music until about 13. I’m glad i got off to a good start with the oldies and not any of this new Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen mumble music, I’m not sure what it is about the older country but something about George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, and Alabama just do it for my ears. With all honesty i cannot listen to the new country it sounds like nails on a chalk board too me after listening to some Strait. There is how ever a few outliers in the new country genre, I could listen to this guy Zach Top for ever however unlike the older guys he has a limited arsenal of tunes.

80s and 90s although they’re not actually that far apart in time the music produced in each is vastly different. The 80s were kind of slow and very heavy on the fiddle which in no way is bad in fact its some of my favorite type of music. But there’s something about the summertime swing, the way down yonder on the Chattahoochee type of song with the bright colors and more electric guitar sounds amazing. I think the only appropriate playlists are those with all 3 timelines incorporated together, then and only then you can say you have the perfect music taste.

I firmly believe that snowmobiles are the root of all happiness and right now the market for buying and selling used snowmobiles is on fire. We should as a planet reduce the price across the board.
